Chocolate Cake

6oz fine wholemeal self raising flour
3oz margarine
3 teaspoons Diamin sprinkle
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
6-7 fl oz water
1 egg

10" x 4" loaf tin lined with greaseproof paper or 12 paper bun cases

Oven temp: 375°F / 200°C / Gas 5


Dissolve cocoa in boiling water and make up to the 7fl oz mark with cold water and leave to cool
Sieve flour and mix bran remain in the sieve with it
Add Diamin. Rub in margarine. Beat egg into cocoa and add to dry ingredients, mix well and put into tin
Level the top and bake in a pre-heated oven.

Divide into 12 slices, each slice = 1 portion = 10g carboydrate
or divide between 12 bun cases, each bun = 1 portion = 10g carbohydrate
